Now that summer is finally here, vacationing is in full swing. Our clients are world travelers and visit some of the most amazing destinations this world has to offer and this month was no different. From our data, we found that travelers visited international destinations — which were mainly cities — and took advantage of famous golf courses.
Therefore, it’s no surprise that this month the three most popular vacation spots were….New York City, USA; London, England; and St. Andrews, Scotland!
With famous landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park it is no wonder why this was a destination of choice – especially in spring and early summer as the weather is absolutely perfect. In fact, this gorgeous city has over 55 million visitors a year.
What is your favorite thing to do in New York?
Since golf season is also here, it only makes sense that St. Andrews is on the list. Known as the “home of golf”, this town houses seven courses including the oldest courses in the world. If you are going as a family, there are many activities you can do together outside of golf, for example you can see historic sites such as St. Andrews Castle, St. Andrews Cathedral, West Port and Blackfriars Chapel as well as experience their aquarium, beaches, and horse and pony rides.
Have you been golfing in Scotland?
London is known for its art and fashion scenes as well as the sporting events that take place there. Home to famous landmarks including World Heritage Sites such as the Tower of London, Kew Gardens, Westminster Abbey, and other landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, the Tower Bridge and plenty of museums there is always something to do. It’s a perfect city for families, couples, or friends.
